REBEL SOUL SUMMER MUSIC FEST 2008

W'sup 'evvvv reeee bot teeeee'' I'm diggin that
new joint with the ''Black Pack'' (ye/3k/Bently/SaRa)
That joint is hot and so is Ryan Leslie's music... I think that's his name... he has a song called
"diamond girl'' but has a crazy youtube and myspace game in full effect!
Peep dood out

So, for those who attended... we successfully pulled off the First Annual
REBEL SOUL Summer Music Fest and we have officially given birth to the
Rebel Soul Music Fest. dot org but not online yet, just organizing our efforts.

Big Up to Ankh Music Group in San Francisco. ''It's been a long time coming but I know
a change gon' come''

So take a couple fotos as teasers. I'm waiting for the official pics from the night but yo..
the event was, from what I have been told... the event was off the chain. I was busy
stage managing and so I hear people had a great time. I know first hand that Our History was
made that night. The Bay has a struggling music scene with regard to the soul legends
it has birthed. So again, if we don't do something about it, nothing will happen. We did something
about it and people have a renewed since of purpose and passion so I thank all those who
worked on the First Annual... we want to Thank Silk E for allowing us to introduce her official Band
first sneak peak at what is to come! She was murder. B'nai Rebel Front... find him on youtube.
CODANY HOLIDAY oh my. This is my folks.. I mean, he's been puttin it down for years but he had a stellar
moment and it's on youtube. Also you will find a new rough version of a song that Cody and I
are working on. Old Soul- We need that song out cuz Obama needs our help now. It's no walk in the park
for this man. He is gonna need a miracle. Debates one on one are going to be crucial. We need
some unifying anthems in the mix. Shot out to DJ Rich Medina for making it out to the FIRST ANNUAL....
Back to the show,
My sister Jackie killed and brought her husband in on sax and Joe got live!
Traci Bartlow stepped out scantily bad and blew minds away with a
improvised dance number while sister sang. U had to be there...
KEV Choice.. Master. Like Duke Ellington conducting some hood rocking as
mob of ganstar musicians. It was bone deep for some. Ise Lyfe was hosting and blessed the crowd with a
verse. TOO $HORT was in the building and let the audience know of some things to come...and hit em up with
''The Ghetto''. Shout out to Chuy Gomez and 106KMEL. Big Von and Yvonne and Gerry. I appreciate the love.
D'wanye Wiggins and Tony Tone' Tone. It was a great night

Anyway.. more to come. Winter Music Fest is on the table.

Wow Martian!
What a production it sounds like y'all pulled off with ur first (and now annual!) RSR Summer Music Fest in SF. Thx. for those pix. too.

How about posting a request to your fans to see if we might be able to help you drum up some sponsorship along the way? What if your biggest fan worked for Puma or Adidas or someplace where you could actually wear their clothes or shoes (hello, Ms. America video??)and have an insider's help to get that company's name out there to your mysapce page or on this site so that your friends can tell their friends to watch your videos and buy your music and on and on it goes....

It's all about networking somehow.
I don't work for a clothes co. anymore, I'm at Bank of America and I can't exactly give away free money, that ain't how it works, but I think u get what i mean. I can help you with ur business or personal banking needs....but no credit cards! I read that blog.

What about liquor company sponsorship? You know they are always pushing their juice at summer music festivals. Are you for or against that, if it means promotin' your music? (I know, I know, forced to drink Remy, Courvoissier or Grey Goose, rough, huh?)

Anyway, let us know how we can help you get ur music heard, CD's purchased, videos seen.
We're not mind readerz.
But it makes sense to help u out to coincide with ur next CD. BTW, when dat?

You have about 100 us "registered users" here on this site (even more with those "anonymouse's") who can't register or whatever, and probably even in the 1000's with ur myspace friendz & people in the biz. Since we all write on blogs now, u could have someone in each city where you'll be playin' write a piece for the local paper or Citypaper and promote ur next show (maybe w/the help of a press kit) and get more folks to hear u and see u.

Let us know what we can do 4 u.
we got yo back ML!
and we're playin' fo yo team!
