Quoted

"Music, art, photography, film, and writing should be diaries of the heart and not the mind or ego. When coming from the heart you will heal yourself and others. Stripping the mind and ego of its importance requires the daily practice and habit of consulting The Devine first."
Shawn Peters

"Your heart knows in silence the secrets of the days and nights but your hearts thirst for the sound of your hearts knowledge.."
"I am a poet who composes what the world proses and proses what the world composes.."
"The reality of the communication between two people lies in what they cannot reveal to one another."
Khalil Gibran

"The eyes of seers should range far into purposes
The ears of hearers should range far towards origins
The utterers voice should make knowledge of the way of heard sounds and visions seen.
The voice of the utterers should make this knowledge inevitable, impossible to lose"
Ayi Kwei Armah

"Remember life is the livest party you could ever attend. I just hope you get in..."
Martin Luther McCoy

Food is the ultimate medicine/poison. Ur choice. I choose life. I've been challenged for a while with a candida
overgrowth issue that has led to slight physical complications ( I don't leave the house unless absolutely manditory) but nothing permanent as I'm currently in the ass whippin phase of this dis ease. I've been doing different types of cleanses but with imbalanced colon issues you have to take direct and specific action to stop the sufferage and promote healing and I highly recommend plenty of patience, rest, research, water and ONLY vegetables and nothing fried or sweet to boot. Read on at the URL below.

I'm on the west coast. We have lost our mind. 17yr old girls getting killed and more black cars are being fueled at 4bux a gallon to haul us from one prision or cemetary to another. In the Hood is like being in a free prison. So much bullcrap runs rampid it's unreal. Everyone lives in such fear. Gang Bang Boogie / Walk by shootings are common place. We have given up our right to complain. WE have ourselves to blame. No system. No CIA conspiracy. No drug delirium. Where are the men!?
The loss of beauty and continuum of our thriving existence in the Hood is our fault. Shooting is sooooooo suckerish. Nobody wants to knuckle up and settle disputes because the reason for the disputes are so juvenille to begin with and definitely not worth taking or losing a life over. My friend lost his 17yr old A-student daughter for absolutely no reason at all. And she will remain nameless to add to the thousands of killings each month/year/decade that keep the mortuary business Poppin in the city. City life sux when compared to other cultures next door, a block over... a few miles away who may have some troubles to work through as well but yet and still are thriving and building and buying property and going to school and getting State certifications and hustling just like the corner kids but hustling to promote a healthy lifestyle and future as opposed to Our culture killing death style. Where are the Men? Walking infront of my doorway right now...leaning and creeping around corners..coping and doping, ultimately disappearing and leaving much tooo much drama for our Women to decode. Drug Addicted men with no will or concern beyond the next hit has become the legacy...NO! I'm looking for my next hit too. But not to get high, to get higher. But I'm not enough. I feel the tension and the pressure with no release or relief in sight. I use my words as weapons but these dudes nor their children give a damn about me. They'll sooner vandalize my car if I let them. I will bust they face wide open if I catch them. The cycle (SICKle) continues. We Love our Beloved West Coast Way. We Die by the thousands. Harriet Tubman has been searching for MEN Who Will Stand UP. So am I. Everytime I lay down..by reciting a rap verse that only feeds our self destruction...or speaking without the wisdom of the Divine on my tongue..or letting my ego dictate my thoughts and actions or disrespect women with blanket statements or allow my own family to pass by without offering to help them...everytime I lay down, I'm looking for myself in the reflection of others. I'm looking to see me standing erect but I only see me leaning and creeping and you can only gather so much strength from yourself. Our environment is our cultural collective poison and it's toxicity level is really beyond intelligible recognition. It will take generations of cleansing the colon of our culture to see us..men, standing erect and on purpose. Morehouse College was my first step at detox. In my humble opinion, it will have to start much sooner. From Birth. During childhood and on through all the stages of growth until death. This a mission to those who really know the pain and the triumphs that also exist in these same neighborhoods. THE Death Style is sooo unbecoming of a man. It's not manhood, to be prepared to take a life. It's manhood to become aware of how to protect one. Amer I Cant- Amer I Can- Amer I Am Our Choice.

I think I'm gonna officially change my stage name to Martian Luther. It has a fitting ring to it as I really feel like a Brother from Another Planet. All the TIme.

A man of wisdomhe is.
Sometimes he speaks and there is frustration. He teaches with the inner most part of his soul. he wants the world to go on this journey or just one who can relate. Who can really feel me he says. When I have something to say that is really on my heart, who really feels me? does anybody hear me? Wise he is. Not just wise but smart, educated, and sometimesholds back and may just shout --- the world when he has the vocabulary that will make most say , Hum? He can speak with Kings because he is one.
Truthful he is but with his heart he is cautious. They
come in all colors, shapes and sizes. How do I chose one? I really don't care to live a life void of love and true intimacy. there is someone made just for me.
The songs that he sings are healing to the soul. But this time around the level is greater. through the lessons of life he see's clearer now and his pupose is sure.
The world awaits the truth that is in him and drink it like cold water on a hot summer day. humble he is and how refreshingthat is.
many in his place have puffed up themselves but he does not exhault himself above the throne. he knows God is his promoter.
He has waited on his time, his day, and it has arrived
because the man of wisdom did not compromise.

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

By the rivers of Babylon
Where we sat down
And there we wept
When we remembered Zion

But the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
How can we sing King Alfa song
In a strange land
Cause the wicked carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
How can we sing King Alfa song
In a strange land

Sing it out loud
Sing a song of freedom sister
Sing a song of freedom brother
We gotta sing and shout it
We gotta talk and shout it
Shout the song of freedom now

SO LET THE WORDS OF OUR MOUTH
AND THE MEDITATION OF OUR HEART
BE ACCEPTABLE IN THY SIGHT
OVER I

So let the words of our mouth
And the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight
Over I

Sing it again
We've got to sing it together
Everyone of us together

By the rivers of Babylon...

The richest man in the HOOD is the undertaker who is overtaking our lives.
We spend thousands lay someone in a coffin, but won't spend hundreds to raise them right.

I remember an article where Bill Clinton (long time ago) spoke to urban kids and they were talking about how they'd like to have their funerals...and I thought sad...but think about a funeral, everyone is there to concentrate and say nice things about the dead, how many nice things do we say about and TO the living. Is that the only time they'll feel like someone is giving them attention. Look at how every year comes deaths are celebrated. How in the hood they have those memorials where everyone puts out those stuff animals and candles. Ppl walk by and show respect. Then push the living man right out out of the way.
